Fresh data from Stack Overflow Developer Survey and a closer look at the Polish IT market
➡ Poland’s IT Sector on the World Stage
The latest Stack Overflow Developer Survey confirms that Poland is now one of the most significant IT hubs in Europe.
Polish developers represent nearly 3 percent of the global developer community, placing them ahead of France and Spain. Only Germany ranks higher, but given its much larger population, Poland clearly punches above its weight in tech.
This isn’t just about numbers. Polish developers are deeply involved in international projects and deliver high-quality work across a wide range of technologies.
➡ Where can you find developers?
The largest concentrations of talent are still found in cities like Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and the Tricity area.
But more and more experienced polish developers are working remotely from smaller towns or even abroad.
We regularly speak to highly skilled candidates based in places like Rzeszów, Bielsko-Biała or… the south of Portugal.
➡ What technologies do Polish developers specialize in?
In terms of technology, JavaScript, Python and Java remain the dominant languages. These appear consistently in both the Stack Overflow data and in our conversations with professionals across the industry.
For companies looking to grow their tech teams, the conclusion is simple. The most valuable talent is not always located in obvious places. In many cases, it’s right there, just not where you first thought to look.
