About us and our product

We are a different company than a typical corporation building repetitive database forms. For 36 years, we have been developing Busman – a fully proprietary, advanced software with an architecture resembling CAD systems or Adobe Illustrator. Our product is designed for scheduling and comprehensive optimization of production organization in public transport. We hold a 90% share of the Polish market, and our clients are exclusively from the public sector – the largest transport authorities and urban transit operators in Poland (including Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, and Gdynia). Without our system, the daily operation of urban logistics in these agglomerations would be impossible.

The technological challenge

Our core consists of about 16 million lines of C++ code. However, we do not shy away from the future; on the contrary, we are dynamically changing the software development paradigm. We are one of the few companies actively implementing advanced language models (including Claude: Fable and Opus), as well as Python and Node.js, for automated code generation, system refactoring to the latest C++20/26 standards, and building autonomous agents. We are looking for someone with unique competencies – a person who can take a high-level view of the system architecture while not shying away from direct, partnership-based communication with demanding public sector clients. We are looking for an innovative engineer for whom AI tools are a natural work accelerator, not a threat.

Your responsibilities

  • Requirements analysis and mapping: Direct cooperation with key stakeholders on the client side (transport authorities), gathering requirements, creating implementation scenarios, and managing the product roadmap.

  • Code automation and transformation: Actively using AI tools for automated code generation and refactoring, as well as rapid prototyping of new functionalities.

  • Development of the reporting ecosystem: Designing modern, interactive interfaces powered by AI technology to create highly specialized reports tailored to individual client needs.

  • System Architecture: Maintaining the architectural consistency and security standards of the application core to prevent the creation of independent, difficult-to-maintain system versions (vendor lock-in / code drift) for individual clients.

  • Estimation and specification: Pricing and scheduling projects based on technical documentation using the SDD model.

  • Coordination and work planning in a distributed environment: Tasks synchronization and daily knowledge exchange between teams in Poland and Greece, ensuring synergy and smooth information flow.

Our requirements

  • A strong analytical and engineering background (STEM degree preferred) and advanced knowledge of distributed systems architecture, data structures, and algorithm theory.

  • Tech stack: C++, Python, Node.js, React, React Native, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, API, cloud technologies, AI development tools (LLM, RAG, Claude, prompt engineering, ML, etc.).

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Diplomacy, patience, and assertiveness when dealing with public sector clients. The ability to “defend” proposed solutions and react flexibly to dynamic changes in projects.

  • Foreign languages: Fluent Polish (for working with national transport authorities) and fluent English (for daily cooperation with the team in Greece).

  • Independence and goal orientation: A self-starter approach – we are looking for an innovative person who, upon seeing a problem, immediately seeks unconventional ways to solve it.

What we offer

  • A unique product with massive social impact: Developing software of critical importance for millions of passengers in Poland.

  • Fully flexible terms: The option to choose your contract type – Employment Contract or B2B contract.

  • 100% remote work: No office and no rigid corporate procedures. We value a culture of trust and real results.
