Ipsos MMA is a leader in unified marketing measurement & optimization, recognized by Forrester and Gartner, which helps global brands plan, measure, and optimize investments. We are searching for a hands-on Machine Learning Scientist to help design our next generation of analytics systems.

As part of our NextGen investment initiative, we’re looking for experienced professionals eager to work in a dynamic, applied research environment centered on predictive analytics — developing the platforms that will shape the future of marketing analytics.

ABOUT YOU

You have a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline and hands-on experience designing complex analytics systems. You understand the mathematics behind modern statistical and machine learning methods deeply enough to reason about them from first principles and to help invent new ones. You will partner closely with our advanced global data science team to co-own our innovation agenda for unified marketing analytics (marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and experimentation) and to help build our NextGen platforms. Prior experience in marketing measurement is not required; what matters is that you grasp the underlying math and can contribute original methodological ideas. You are comfortable writing code to prototype your ideas and collaborating with development teams to bring them to life, and you can document your methods in clear, rigorous scientific writing. You are eager to use frontier AI — such as generative and agentic systems — to enhance our methods of modeling, experimentation, and innovation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing complex analytics systems and custom modeling solutions for our NextGen modeling platforms
  • Co-owning and driving our innovation agenda around unified marketing analytics: marketing mix modeling, attribution, and experimentation
  • Developing, implementing, and testing machine learning and statistical algorithms
  • Performing statistical analyses and evaluating new methodological approaches
  • Authoring methodological and scientific documentation of models and approaches
  • Collaborating with global data scientists and development teams to move ideas from research to production

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, AI, computer science, operations research, or a related quantitative field
  • Deep foundations in probability, statistics, and machine learning, a genuine command of the underlying mathematics
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering custom analytics projects and complex analytics systems
  • Coding experience (e.g., Python) sufficient to build prototypes and collaborate effectively with development teams
  • Ability to write clear methodological and scientific documentation
  • Strong curiosity to implement new approaches and challenge existing ones
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working alongside advanced data scientists and software engineers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Experience with AI, including large language models and generative or agentic systems, is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost)
  • Numerical programming and knowledge of optimization methods to accelerate computations
  • Prior exposure to marketing analytics or measurement is a plus, not a requirement
  • Experience communicating technical tradeoffs to non-technical partners
  • 3+ years of relevant applied research or analytics experience
